The latest statistics show that China will soon surpass Japan and become the second biggest economy in the world. And one senior official from the International Energy Agency warned recently China has replaced the US and become the biggest energy consumer.

China has quickly denied the allegation. These days views of self-inflation and anti-China conspiracy theory dominate the Chinese media about the supper degrees of the country in many areas given the bulk of its market and its pace of its economic growth.

And there have been debates about energy security and the role of developing countries in the process of global warming. To examine whether this is a paranoid of typical of a major emerging market and what it takes to achieve the world supremacy in the post-cold war era.
