China and US have started t 21st JCCT in Washington. The JCCT, a mechanism established in 1983, has served as an important platform for China and the United States to promote trade and address issues of mutual concern. The JCCT has played an important role in the past, and this time it will also help pave the way for Chinese President Hu Jintao''s US visit next January. Scholars from US have high expectations for the annual high-level trade talks. Despite some obstacles, China and the US have the potential to cooperate in many fields.
