The Doha round of the world trade talks after being initiated ten years ago is still in a stalemate today. In contrast though the world has witnessed dramatic changes over the past decades, the financial crisis, the emerging and developing economies, the potential of the shift of the power, and the weakening of the least developing countries to protect their own rights by actively participating in the current global mechanisms. What would it mean to the world if the Doha round continues to be a bid block for the world to gain more confidence about its prospect ahead?
