Anger over Obama meeting Dalai Lama

China accused the United States of interfering in its internal affairs and damaging relations on Sunday as it objected strongly to US President Barack Obama meeting the Dalai Lama.  SEE FULL STORY>>

China urges US to cancel Obama's Dalai Lama meeting

China's foreign ministry said in a website statement that such a meeting would be harmful to China-US relations. The Ministry firmly opposes any senior foreign government officials meeting with the Dalai Lama in any way.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei says China opposes such trips by the Dalai Lama, adding that he uses these opportunities to engage in separatist activities.
