Prof. Kishore Mahbubani, National University of Singapore

Kishore Mahbubani was appointed Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy on August 16, 2004 after 33 years in the Singapore Foreign Service. He was the Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry from 1993-1998. Mahbubani was listed as one of the top 100 public intellectuals in the world by Foreign Policy and Prospect Magazines in September 2005. He was also included in the March 2009 Financial Times list of Top 50 individuals who would shape the debate on the future of capitalism. In his recent article in The Financial Times, he said "the Dictators are falling Democracies are failing. Because they have been telling lies." Today we are joined here live by Kishore Mahbubani, National University of Singapore to talk about mad world and lies.
