Dialogue 2011-12-05 Egyptian parliamentary elections

Partial results from the first stage of Egypt’s parliamentary elections have been released. The Muslim Brotherhood is said to top the polls of the first Egyptian election since the fall the country’s long-time leader Hosni Mubarak. The national turnout was 62%, the highest in Egyptian history. Protests continue on Friday in Cairo’s Tehran Square as demonstrators mourn the victims of previous rallies and demand the interim military authorities to step down. So what will happen to the power division of the elected President and the military council?
