Dialogue 20120406 HK- mainland economic ties

04-07-2012 06:41 BJT

Since the establishment of Hong Kong SAR, China and Hong Kong have strengthened their economic ties through various measures, including those under multiple rounds of CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement). Most of the measures point to further economic integration between Hong Kong and China. These measures will strengthen Hong Kong''s position as an international financial centre by supporting its offshore RMB centre functions. Now the mainland has abandoned tariffs on all products made in Hong Kong, ensuring lower cost and lower price. In the face of the current global financial crisis, Hong Kong has agreed to work more closely with the mainland and set anti-corruption model to avoid the financial risks.
