Dialogue 20120514 Beijing urges Manila to negotiate

It has already been one month since Huangyan Island tensions started to escalate on April 10. For the moment, both sides should remain calm and return to the negotiation table. China hopes Philippines to stop further harming the bilateral relations. China hopes the Philippines will not take any actions to magnify the dispute in a way that may affect the relationship between the two countries. China remains unchanged in insisting on diplomatic dialogue to solve the Huangyan Island dispute. China urges the Philippine side to make a positive response and move back on the right track.
