The United Nations general assembly annual debate begins this week in New York. During the general debate, to be attended by more than 120 top- and senior-level delegates from across the world, most UN members will have a representative speaking on issues of individual national and wider international relevance. The agenda will likely include the crisis in Syria, increasing tensions over Iran’s nuclear program and the anti-US demonstrations in the Middle East.
