Sino-Saudi ties have enjoyed all-around and rapid development since the establishment of diplomatic links 22 years ago. The two countries have demonstrated mutual understanding and support on key issues of common concern, and cooperation in all sectors has been fruitful. China views its relationship with Saudi Arabia from a strategic and long-term perspective. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, China will as always support the United Nations in playing a vital role on the Middle East issue.
