* 2012年春运启动 客流量预计将超过31亿人次

为期40天的2012年春运于1月8号正式启动。由于今年元旦、春节相隔仅有22天,节前学生流、务工流、探亲流将高度叠加,旅客的出行时间也更为集中。官方预测今年春运客流量将超过31亿人次,加之春运期间,中国西南东部、江南西部和长江下游地区可能出现较强的阶段性低温雨雪冰冻灾害,交通运输系统将面临着巨大考验。铁道部联合各部门出台多项措施,确保旅客顺利、安全出行。今年1月1号起,铁道部开始在全国铁路系统全面实行实名制购买火车票,除了传统的窗口售票方式,2012年春运火车票销售更加注重网络售票、电话售票的新方式,有媒体称“中国由此全面进入火车票实名制时代。”

一本描述白宫内部生活细节的新书披露,第一夫人米歇尔为让丈夫更合乎自己心目中的“领导人”形象,常与白宫高官发生争吵,特别是与白宫前幕僚长伊曼纽尔的“恩怨故事”尤其多。据法新社报道,这本新书是由《纽约时报》记者坎特撰写,名为《奥巴马一家人》。据新书描述,自从米歇尔随丈夫奥巴马在2009年入主白宫后,就一直尝试在白宫找到自己的立足点。米歇尔一直认为她的丈夫应该是一个“转型人物”,但却常常因为丈夫不得不与共和党人达成妥协性协议,而与在白宫工作的奥巴马助手们发生争吵。新书记载说,米歇尔与白宫工作人员发生的最激烈争吵是在2010年初,吵架对象则是白宫前幕僚长、现芝加哥市长伊曼纽尔。米歇尔当时认为,围绕医疗改革法案,白宫与共和党达成了太多妥协协议,她感觉这让自己丈夫所倡导原本很宏伟的法案变得黯然失色。

* 伊拉克上演现实版"肖申克" 11名囚犯挖地道越狱

伊拉克北部库尔德自治区杜胡克省基尔加监狱典狱长贾米勒表示,该监狱的11名囚犯在狱方毫不知情的情况下,挖掘了一条长达80米的地道,并通过该地道于7号成功越狱。据悉,这些越狱的囚犯所犯罪行从贩毒到谋杀不一,获刑从5年监禁到死刑不等。这些人目前还未被抓获,但有关方面已经开展调查。贾米勒称,“有11名囚犯越狱挖了一条80米长的地道,并从中逃脱。”他表示,这些囚犯们没有留下任何显示他们是如何挖掘地道的线索,让人深感惊讶。基尔加监狱于2008年开始运行,由库尔德劳动和社会事务部管理,目前关有约600名囚犯。
