As market competition gets fiercer, the survey industry is heating up. Many companies work out strategies based on reports and results of market research. The prospect is quite promising. Tang Xuemei, who served as the president of the Horizon Research Consultancy Group for three years, thought highly of the business.

Thanks for brother's help

One day, Tang Xuemei called her brother Tang Jinwu, a software engineer in the US. While talking on the phone, she asked in passing if there was a computer software that could do online surveys, it would save both time and energy.

To help his sister, Tang Jinwu worked during the day and moonlighted at night to design and develop the software. After over two years of hard work, having overcome many difficulties, he finished the software.

Tang Xuemei pulled her brother Tang Jinwu in and developed an online survey system. Though it did save both time and work load at the beginning, Tang Xuemei didn't dare to apply the new system on a big scale.

To cater to different groups of customers, Tang Xuemei registered a new company.

Tang Xuemei was quite clear on how advanced the software designed by her brother was. It was definitely a “blue ocean” in the domestic survey industry. With this software as the core competitiveness, Tang Xuemei's survey company would have a great future.

She persuaded her brother Tang Jinwu to quit his job with a yearly income of several hundred thousand US dollars and come back to serve as her technical director.

Online VS Traditional Survey

Online surveys can save manpower and material resources. They are not limited by human resources, weather, time or distance. It's fast, convenient, and can cover a wider range of respondents.

Meanwhile, since most online interviewees accept surveys voluntarily, they tend to answer questions more carefully, so they are considered more reliable.
