Once a novelty, online shopping is now a normal part of most people's daily lives. More than 130 million Chinese have made online purchases, ranging from clothes to digital cameras to groceries. But have you ever considered buying a diamond on the Internet? This week we meet the founder of China's first online diamond store, Xu Xiao.  Since she started her business in 2002, Xu Xiao has sold 200 million yuan worth of diamonds. The secret to her success? Guaranteed quality, competitive prices and custom designs to please even the most fussy customer.

She's only 30 years old, but Xu Xiao is the owner of a thriving diamond business called Zbird. On weekends, eager customers can be seen queuing up outside her stores.

It's these precious stones - sparkling diamonds - that are attracting customers from all over the country. It was at the first China Wedding Expo in 2006 when Xu Xiao made her start in the diamond business. She displayed 600 loose diamonds on a 12-meter-long counter.
