Attacks on schools are increasing in Afghanistan, and on Tuesday, there were two more.

In northern Kunduz province, a girl's school came under a suspected poison gas attack.

50 students were sent to hospital after vomiting or losing consciousness. A member of the provincial council says the number of poisoned students is increasing in Kunduz.

Meanwhile, in eastern Khost province, four teachers and nine students at a boy's school were hospitalized after a bomb went off underneath a stairwell.

Last week, several similar gas attacks struck a girl's school in Kabul. Officials believe militants opposed to education for girls are responsible.
