Now to East China's flood-hit Jiangxi Province, where a major river has burst its banks for the second time within 36 hours.
The Fuhe River's latest breaching happened at 6:30 am local time on Wednesday morning. The river in Fuzhou overflowed on Monday evening, threatening the safety and property of a hundred thousand local residents.
The provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief department says many residents were evacuated ahead of the latest flooding. The width of the second breach is still not known, but the first break in the river's dyke spanned around 400 meters.
