Heavy rain hasn't just caused rivers to burst their banks in Jiangxi Province, it's also blocked national highways in Fujian Province. The main problem is severe flooding and landslides, which is causing traffic chaos on local roads.

Fuzhou City in Fujian Province has suffered from landslides with falling rocks taking up the whole road, blocking national highway no. 104.

The Deputy Director from the local Highway Administration Bureau says they have to clean up the debris - after blasting the rock out of the way.

In Nanping City, local stores have been damaged by heavy floods. At a local inter-city bus station, rainstorms have caused havoc. It also destroyed main streets in the town.

Gutian county is also suffering from flooded roads with more than 379 landslides reported. The local government there is continuing repair work and regularly updating drivers with traffic information.
