Former Philippine First Lady has been sworn in as congresswoman. 80-year-old Imelda Marcos took the oath at the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
She won a seat in the House of Representatives in last month's general elections, while two of her children also won spots in government.
Meanwhile, the country's President-elect, Benigno Aquino the Third, has built an experienced cabinet to address challenges such as fighting corruption and reducing poverty.
He has set up what's being called a "truth commission" to investigate allegations of corruption. Aquino is expected to be inaugurated on Wednesday in Manila.
