US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is visiting Azerbaijan, following her trips to Ukraine, Poland and South Caucasus region. Clinton arrived in the capital of Baku late on Saturday to start her one day visit.
She's expected to meet Azerbaijan's President, Ilkham Aliyev, and Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov. Bilateral ties and regional security issues are top of the agenda.
The Caspian Sea nation is part of an overland supply chain, an alternative to the primary land route to Afghanistan through Pakistan. About one-quarter of supplies for the military operation in Afghanistan pass through the country.
