US Attorney General Eric Holder says the spy swap with Russia, was a deal that brought back several individuals of interest to the US.
Holder made the remarks on CBS' "Face the Nation". He maintained that the 10 Russian accused spies would have posed a potential threat to the US, if they were still sleeper agents.
Speaking earlier on NBC's "Tonight Show", Vice President Joe Biden also reaffirmed his administration's actions.
