Overseas Chinese make Zhouqu donation

Nearly one hundred Chinese people living or studying in The English coastal county of Dorset, together with diplomats from the Chinese Embassy, have taken part in a charity event for the victims of the Zhouqu landslide.

Video footage of the disaster was played at the event and everyone present made a donation to help people rebuild their homes. One pensioner, Ms. Yang emigrated to England 40 years ago. Despite only having a small income, she donated 15 hundred pounds from her savings to the Sichuan earthquake victims in 2008. This time, she has given another thousand pounds to Zhouqu.

Overseas Chinese pensioner Ms. Yang said, "We are all Chinese. We must help each other. My heart goes for them. We're together."
