Construction of Lindu airport in Yichun city began in July 2008, and operation started in August 2009. The runway is 2,300 meters long, and 45 meters wide. The airfield's technical standard is 4C. The terminal building covers 2,800 square meters, and can handle 142-thousand passengers a year.

The Chinese currency Renminbi, or yuan, strengthened 80 basis points to a record high of 6.1867 against the U.S. dollar on Friday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trading System.
