Pakistani Ambassador Masood Khan says his country is grateful to China for its timely and effective aid, especially at a time when China itself is suffering from floods and mudslides.

The floods have created a lot of work for everyone in Pakistani Embassy in Beijing.

The country's Ambassador made an urgent appeal for aid.

The floods that hit Pakistan in late June affected millions of people. More than 16 hundred people died and thousand of homes were destroyed.

China sent relief materials and dispatched a medical team to Pakistan on Thursday.

Masood Khan says the medical team brings hope to people in the flood zone.

Pakistan and China have been hit by plenty of natural disasters.

Pakistan's Ambassador says China's aid is proof of the close relationship between the two countries.

China plans to donate an additional 60 million yuan of emergency humanitarian aid to Pakistan, bringing total Chinese relief to more than 130 million yuan.
