World famous action star Jet Li is in Beijing for the Combat Games, and he is taking-on a new role. The 47 year-old actor is campaigning for Chinese Taichiquan, or shadow boxing, to be included in future Olympic Games.
The Hollywood hero is serving as ambassador for the Chinese martial art of Wushu. He told reporters that he will try his utmost to get Chinese Taichiquan included in the Olympic programme in the next 20 to 30 years.
Li joined other famous celebrities and champions such as kickboxing legend Don 'the Dragon' Wilson and Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler, Rulon Gardener, to promote the Combat Games. They are scheduled to take part in various activities during the eight days of competition, bringing the games and martial arts to the general public.
