Israel has launched three airstrikes on southern Gaza Strip targets, mainly tunnels under the borders between Egypt and the enclave. Four Palestinians were wounded.
Israeli F-16 warplanes carried out the attacks, the first targeted a tunnel east of the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis. The warplanes then struck two other tunnels used for smuggling, wounding the four workers who were then in one of the tunnels. The airstrikes came after a homemade rocket was fired earlier by Gaza militants at southern Israel. The Gaza-based pro-Hamas Popular Resistance Committees claimed responsibility for the rocket attack.
