Spanish La Liga: Real Madrid blow out Deportivo 6-1

The latest round of La Liga play from Sunday, and a fantastic performance from Real Madrid: Jose Mourinho's side, looking very special indeed, as they took on struggling Deportivo la Caruna.

Jose Mourinho's star-studded side made the ideal start when Cristiano Ronaldo head Real into a fourth-minute lead from Mesut Ozil's corner.

On 24 minutes, a flowing move saw Gonzalo Higuain threading the ball through for Ozil to find space and score on a great finish 2-0.

10 minutes later, 3-0, Higuain once again the provider for his fellow Argentinean Angel di Maria, whose rocket header left goalkeeper Manu with no chance.

Real's fluid offence marched on. Ronaldo's neat pass worked well, leading to some beautiful team work, Higuain was the finisher, who tapped in with an acrobatic play on 53 minutes

6 minutes later, 5-0, Ronaldo played one-two and lost control, but Deportivo's Ze Castro bailed him out with the own goal.

In the 78th minute, finally a consolation for Deportivo, Juan Rodriguez nodded in a cross.

But Real were not done yet and had the final word as Ronaldo collected his second goal of the night after racing on to Xabi Alonso's pass.6-1.
