China's women's volleyball bags gold to defend title

During the final day of the Asian Games, China staged a dramatic fight back against South Korea in the Women's volleyball final. The victory ensured the host nation defended their title and finished the games having secured 199 Gold Medals.

The match was forced into a decider after the hosts came from behind to level the match 2-2. South Korea leading 14-12 in the decider, but China's Zhou Suhong 's powerful spiking helped them win one precious point, 14-13.

The veteran was the backbone and inspiration for her side. She served calmly, and the south Koreans were not able to get close to the ball. China leveled the match 14 all.

Both sides were hoping to break the deadlock. But the South Koreans were too rushed and spiked the ball out of the line, handing one point to China. China came from behind to lead 15-14.

China's head coach Yu Juemin's encouragement in the crucial moment were vital. With spiking from baseline, China won the match point, and took the decider 16-14. And with it, the match. It was an emotional moment for all the Chinese players.

It was China's 199th gold and also the last one on offer in Guangzhou. China successfully defended their title, winning the Asian Games gold for the fourth straight times.
