A spokeswoman for the Chinese foreign ministry says China hopes that all parties concerned can work together to stabilize the situation on the Korean Peninsula rather than point fingers.

Jiang Yu told a regular news briefing in Beijing that the situation stabilization accords with the interests of all countries in the region. Jiang made the remarks in response to a question about Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo's visit to the DPRK last week.

Dai met with Kim Jong Il, top leader of the DPRK in Pyongyang, exchanging views with him on bilateral relations and the situation on the Peninsula. Jiang said that the DPRK's attitude towards restarting the six-party talks is positive. Finally, Jiang called on all parties concerned to seek more common ground while reserving differences.
