The closing ceremony of the Guangzhou Asian Para Games will highlight disabled performers' and athletes' love for life and society. CCTV reporter Li Wanmei looks at the rehearsal for the closing ceremony in Guangzhou.

The closing ceremony is comprised of three chapters. If the opening ceremony can be called an emotional story featuring "great love and self-improvement", then the closing ceremony will reflect the reunion and departing sentiments. It will also highlight those who suffer from disabilities by involving disabled performers.

Fu Wei, performers, said, "We are really proud of ourselves to being able to participate in this event. It's a huge opportunity for us disabled people. It's a good thing."

Liu Yuan, performers, said, "We want to show our spirit of growing stronger to everyone."

Some of the performers have made great endeavors and sacrifices in order to present a marvelous gala.

Wang Wenping, Performer, said, "During these three months of practice, we come to rehearsal even if it was rainy or windy. At the first beginning, many of us suffered from a lot of pain in our shoulders because the props are pretty heavy. Our legs hurt too. But everybody overcame the challenge."

Nevertheless, some performers feel that there was short notice for them and they are not confident of giving their best performance.

Xia Ga, Performer, said, "Usually I dance in my own way. But this time, there was short notice, so I didn’t get many chances to practice. I just danced on the stage randomly. It’s likely that I will perform a totally different dance next time we rehearse."

CCTV reporter Li Wanmei, said, "It is said that a good beginning is half the success, but a great event cannot be done without a nice ending. What’s the show gonna be like? Let’s look forward to the closing ceremony of the Asian Para Games on Sunday night.
