The Democratic People's Republic of Korea says it is ready for discussions on all issues with South Korea.

The spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea says there's nothing the two sides can't settle if they hold open-hearted, face to face, discussions.

He's urging Seoul to adopt what he calls a proper stance, while honestly responding to Pyongyang's proposal for dialogue and good faith measures.

The DPRK adds that it is ready to meet anyone, anytime, and anywhere, without preconditions, but South Korean authorities have not offered their own formal proposals.
