Cross over: New Yingxiu township welcomes Spring Festival

Yingxiu Township is right at the epicenter of the Wenchuan Earthquake that devastated the county and many other parts of Sichuan on May 12th, 2008. The damage in Yingxiu was shocking. More than two years and a half have passed and reconstruction work there is going smoothly. A completely new town has been built there and people are moving into new homes to spend the lunar New Year. A ceremony is being held in the new town to celebrate the beginning of new life in the once traumatized town.

Now for more on new town in Yingxiu,CCTV reporter Yin Xiang joins us on the phone from Yingxiu in Sichuan Province.

Q:A totally new town has been put up and people are moving into new homes to spend the lunar New Year. A ceremony is being held there.Why are they holding the ceremony and how many people have moved to the new homes there?
