Li Changchun meets with Mozambiquen leaders

A senior official of the Communist Party of China, Li Changchun is in Mozambique for an official visit. On Friday, Li Changchun met with the country's president and other leaders in the capital Maputo.

During his meeting with Mozambican President Armando Emilio Guebuza, Li Changchun said the cooperative partnership between the two countries has been steadily pushing forward. Both sides are taking steps on projects issued by the China-Africa Cooperation Forum.

Guebuza is also President of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party, and Li Changchun expressed the Communist Party of China's willingness of cooperating with the party on governing and party to people relationship.

During his meeting with Mozambican President Armando Emilio Guebuza, Li Changchun
said the cooperative partnership between the two countries has been steadily
pushing forward.

For his part, Guebuza expressed thanks from his government and people for China's various aid to Mozambique. He said the country treasures the friendship with China and is looking forward to more cooperation on human resources.

Li Changchun also held talks with the General Secretary of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party, Filipe Paunde.

Li noted both are developing countries, so to further enhance their friendship meets the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples, and is of vital importance to boosting the growth of the new China-Africa strategic partnership.

He highly praised the relationship between the CPC and the Mozambique Liberation Front Party, saying the two parties should work hand in hand in the wake of new challenges, to maintain worldwide peace and development.

Paunde explained to Li the history of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party, and acknowledged the CPC's experience had contributed much to its development.
