Ban Ki-moon calls for humanitarian access to Syria

UN Security General Ban Ki-moon has called for Syria's leader to allow humanitarian access to the country. Ban made the comment after he arrived in Argentina during his campaign for a second term. He also called the deadly government attacks on protesters "horrific".

He said, "I once again urge President Assad of Syria to allow humanitarian access to affected areas, and to allow the Human Rights Council-mandated assessment mission, which on two cases I have urged him to accept the missions."
