French authorities have ordered a recall of hamburger patties after five children became sick from E-coli.

Officials say all five children were hospitalized with infections. Four of them ate frozen ground beef patties supplied by French factory SEB, and sold by the German supermarket chain Lidl. The agriculture minister says tests are underway, and there's no immediate sign of a link with the recent deadly E. coli outbreak in Germany.

Bruno Lemaire, French Agricultural Minister, said, "I cannot provide the results of tests in progress, but we reacted quickly and expect the results in the shortest possible time, maybe in the next few hours. We're trying to find the causes of the food poisoning and to ensure it is not the same bacteria as in Germany. The early indications say that it would not be the same bacteria."
