Tens of thousands of supporters have rallied in the streets of Bangkok for the final campaign by Thailand's two major political parties, ahead of Sunday's election.

10 thousand people turned out for the Democrat Party leader, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva. He vowed to solve the people's problem and the current political conflict. Another 20 thousand turned up at the Rajamangala stadium to support the opposition Puea Thai Party.

Yingluck Shinawatra, sister of the ousted prime minister Thaksin, laid out plans to fight poverty and drugs. The two parties are promoting similar policies and focusing heavily on the rural vote. Thailand has seen three elections since the 2006 military coup.
