Philippines-US joint marines focus on coordinated operation, beach landing capacity

The Philippines and the US have started their 11-day joint military exercises off the coast of Puerto Princesa, in Palawan Province.

Two groups of marines from both sides are taking part, focusing on coordinated operation and beach landing capacity. The two navies will practice shooting with ship-borne artillery, sea blockade and sea patrol.

Malik, Marine of Marine Corps of Philippines, said, "We will be expecting to learn a lot from our US counterpart, especially about the small boat operations, maneuvers and tactic command, hopefully we can exchange ideas on how to efficiently finish the task."
