Authorities in Zhejiang Province have issued warnings over typhoon Muifa. It's likely that the storm will make landfall over the next three days.

According to a report provided by Zhejiang's provincial meteorological bureau, Muifa was nearly 2,000 kilometers southeast of Zhejiang's coastal city Taizhou as of 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

The bureau chief added that the storm, currently moving with winds of 56 meters per second, is expected to shift northwest. The bureau warned that Muifa may make landfall on the east coast of Zhejiang as early as Saturday evening.

In preparation for the storm, local authorities have ordered local officials to prepare supplies and ready for any evacuation efforts. Although the Zhejiang coastal cities of Wenzhou, Taizhou, Ningbo, Zhoushan and Jiaxing are all preparing for the storm, other areas may be affected as well.
