Team China is continuing to flex it’s muscles as the World Weightlifting Championships roll on in Paris France. China’s Zhang Jie, the latest Chinese lifter to be golden in the city of lights.

A shredded Zhang, competing in the 62kg category, would record a best lift in the snatch of 145 kilograms, just failing to left 147. And after the snatch, the Chinese would trail South Korean Kim Un Guk, who beat Zhang at last years Asian Games, as Kim was able to lift 147.

But in the clean and jerk, the Chinese Zhang would be just a little bit better and that would make the difference. After Kim failed on his final attempt, it would come down to a 176 kilogram lift for the Chinese to become world champion and Zhang, would pull through to take the World Championship gold.
