Israel has announced a list of 550 Palestinian and Arab prisoners, who are to be released in the second phase of a prisoner-swap deal with Hamas.

They will be sent to the West Bank and Gaza on Sunday. Israeli prison officials say those on the list have been mostly detained for throwing stones and fuel bottles and not involved in terrorist attacks.

The release is the second and final stage of the landmark deal, in which Israel sets free 1,027 Palestinian and Arab prisoners in exchange for captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. The first 477 prisoners were released on October the 18th, the same day Shalit returned home after being held by Hamas for more than five years.
