Chinese FM conveys condolences on Kim Jong Il´s death

Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi has met the charge d’affaires of the DPRK Embassy, Pak Myong Ho, and conveyed messages of condolences, at the Chinese Foreign Ministry in Beijing.

Yang spoke on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and other top political bodies. He conveyed the condolences to the Workers’ Party of Korea Central Committee and its Central Military Commission, the DPRK National Defense Commission, the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.

Yang said comrade Kim Jong Il was a great party and state leader of the DPRK. He said Kim had dedicated the whole of his life to the DPRK’S socialist revolution and construction. Yang said under the leadership of Workers' Party of Korea and Kim Jong Un the DPRK will continue to push forward the country’s development and promote the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula.
