The Beijing Capital Airport has experienced heavy passenger flow since the Spring Festival Season began on January 8th.

Lei Qi, manager of East Section of Beijing Capital International Airport said: "We predict the passenger flow every day for the next morning rush hours and make a work plan based on the prediction."

To reduce queuing time and to ensure passenger checks go smoothly, airport security departments adjust the check-in counter and security channel open times and increase service personnel.

One passenger said: "I came here about 2 hours in advance. It doesn’t take too much time."

Another one said: "The airport has increased the personnel which saves passengers a lot of time in going through the airport security.”

Continuous monitoring of weather forecasts allows airport officials to take measures to face bad conditions.

To ensure the safety of passengers and normal operation of the airport, airport authorities have imposed a ban on firecrackers in surrounding areas.
