Dwight Howard looked to reach a new mark for his Orlando Magic team on Tuesday night. Howard had a chance to break Nick Anderson's mark and become the Magic's all time leading scorer, during a match against the Indiana Pacers.

Superman needed just 8 points to get the job done...but the first half was a hard one for Howard. He picked up his second foul midway through the first quarter and sat on the bench, still one point shy of the new mark.

Howard watched the Pacers go on a 10-0 run. Danny Granger hit a tough jumper to put Indiana up 7 headed to the second.

But the Magic would make a run of their own. They were on target from beyond the arc, Ryan Anderson scored 3 of his 24 for the night. The magic went up by 2.

Howard would enter the game again with a Tebow pose for the third quarter.

And maybe he got some help from above. Superman finally became the Magic’s all-time leading scorer on a dunk early in the second half. That helped Orlando start an 8-0 run midway through

Quentin Richarson beat the 3rd quarter buzzer. He gave the Magic a 12-point lead going into the fourth.

They went on to build a 21-point advantage down the stretch. J.J. Redick sealed the win for Orlando. The Magic beat the Pacers 102-83, and Howard’s the team’s scoring king.
