The highest resolution map of the moon in the world will be published on Monday. That’s according to China’s National Defense Technology Industry Ministry.

The images, taken by China’s Chang’e-2 spacecraft, capture an unprecedented 7-meters-per pixel of the lunar surface. And if printed, the moon map could be as large as a standard football stadium.

The successful completion of the map by Chang’e 2 signifies an important step of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program. Key technology about soft landing on the Moon will also be tested during the probe’s mission.
