NBA: Knicks fall to first loss in "Lin era"

In New York, Jeremy Lin led the Knicks against the New Orleans Hornets.

But the Hornets were 6 points ahead early in the third quarter with Marco Belinelli’s driving slam.

New Orleans, looking for their third win in a row, enjoys a 13-point lead. Trevor Ariza with the triple, 3 of his 25 on the night.

Then Jeremy Lin starts to turn it on. His 3-pointer makes it an 8-point game.

But Lin, struggled with his decision making on the night, he committed 9 turnovers himself, the Knicks, with 20 as a team. Ariza, capitalizing on this one for a seven point New Orleans lead.

Amare Stoudemire had 26 on the night. His layin would bring the Knicks within three.

However New Orleans answered back with Belinelli hitting a jumper off the glass. 17 for the Italian on the night.

Lin got it down to two deep in the Q. But Gustavo Ayon answered with a bucket. The Hornets up by four.

But, Lin who scored 26 to match Amare’s team high would not have any magic left at the end of this one. The Hornets take it 89-85, snapping the Knicks seven game win streak with Lin in the backcourt.
