Crossover: Expectations on US PMI in Feb.

Manufacturing activity grew last month, with official manufacturing PMI coming in at 51 in February, inching up from 50.5 in January and beating market expectations by an inch. That makes three consecutive months of growth, after a contraction back in November. Full story >>

For expectations on that PMI number in the States, we are joined on the line by James Barth, from the Milken Institute in Los Angeles.

Q1: We just heard from our Chinese contributor, what are expectations in the US for that PMI data? Further recovery?

Q2: Ben Bernanke last night dampened expectations for a third round of quantitative easing. How is the possibility of no more stimulus likely to play out in the US economy? We already saw in Wednesday’s trading session, the Dow failed to break through the 13,000 level.
