Tele interview: Challenges for China's economic reforms in 2012

It's all about reform when it comes to the Chinese economy these days. The lowered growth target set out for this year, of 7.5 percent, and some recent soft economic data has had analysts and investors worried, but the government says it's looking for sustainable, quality growth versus the breakneck speed of the last three decades. Q1: As mentioned, there are worries building over China's economy at the moment, keeping investors on their toes, particularly this week as evidenced by equity markets. Are these reforms going to be able to ease those fears? And help China's economy achieve a soft landing?

Q2: We've seen a lot of these reforms rolled out at the start of the current 5-year plan. What's new in what the NDRC set out? And what are some of the challenges?
