Egyptian presidential candidate Shafiq willing to offer services to election rival if fails

Presidential candidate Ahmed Shafiq is willing to offer his services to his rival Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsy if he fails. That's according to his spokesman at a news conference on Wednesday.

 Shafiq's spokesman, says, "At the end of the day candidate Shafik will be willing to accept the result regardless of the outcome. In fact he has stated on numerous occasions and would like to stress again that in the event that candidate Morsy is indeed successful and victorious in the election, the first telephone call he will receive will be from candidate Shafik.

Not only will he receive this phone call from him but in fact the services of candidate Shafik shall be offered for the good of the country moving forward, at the end of the day we are looking for unity."
