The rebel Free Syrian Army has claimed it carried out the attack that killed three government ministers. Another group has also said it was behind the attack.

For more on the Syrian crisis, we are joined by Professor Li Guofu, Director of the Middle East Studies Centre at the China Institute of International Studies. Hello, Mr. Li.

Q1. Three senior officials have been killed in the attack by the rebel Free Syrian Army. How will this affect the country’s situation?

Q2. Kofi Annan has urged the UN Security Council members to take concerted action to help stem the bloodshed in Syria and build momentum for a political transition. Based on the current situation, what’s the outlook?
