Chinese and Angolan police have uncovered a criminal gang in Angola. 37 suspects were involved in cross border crimes and 14 victims freed have been brought back to China.

The suspects were involved in several crimes in Angola including robbery, kidnapping and racketeering. All the targets and victims were Chinese. Last month, China sent a team of 30 policemen to Luanda, the capital of Angola, to help deal with the cases.

Meanwhile, Angola has dispatched around 400 policemen to tackle gangs responsible for the crimes. This is the largest ever joint action against crimes committed against Chinese nationals in Angola.
