The Supreme People’s Procuratorate has placed Bo Xilai under investigation for alleged criminal offenses. It’s also imposing restrictive measures on him in accordance with the law. The investigation is already under way, according to a statement released Friday.
Early on Friday, the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress removed Bo Xilai from his post as deputy to the 11th National People’s Congress. The decision was made according to the Representation of the People Act.
