Cuban President Raul Castro has met with visiting DPRK military chief Kim Kyok-sik in Havana.
The four-star general has been in Cuba since Friday on an official visit to strengthen ties between the two countries. Kim Kyok-sik and Castro held talks which were attended by Cuba’s armed forces chief, General Leopoldo Cintas Frias, and the DPRK’s ambassador to the Caribbean nation.
Kim Kyok-sik has also visited military installations there, and held talks with senior Cuban military and government officials. In April, former Cuban leader Fidel Castro warned the DPRK against a path of war as tensions on the Korean Peninsula rose.
